Officers are searching for a wanted murder suspect named Alexander Carr who police believe is actively evading arrest following the murder of a woman in Sunderland last week.
Images of Mr Carr who is wanted in connection with the murder have now been released by police.
Alexander Carr, 32, is wanted over the death of Michelle Hanson, 47, whose body was found at a home on 2 December.

Footage of the suspect, captured on CCTV the next day, shows his distinctive walk.
Officers from Northumbria Police now believe Mr Carr is “actively evading arrest”.
A reward of £10,000 is being offered by the charity Crimestoppers for any information that leads to his arrest.
Carr is from Sunderland, but is also known to visit Newcastle and North Tyneside, and has links to some areas in Northumberland and London.

Northumbria Police wrote in a tweet that Carr “considers himself able to survive outdoors”, so he could be taking shelter in empty buildings or outhouses.

“We will continue to support them and ask their privacy is respected.”
