Army discharging Soldier who appeared in Tommy Robinson video

The British Army is to discharge a soldier who appeared within a selfie and video with Tommy Robinson at a service station.

The soldier who has a long record of disciplinary problems will be dismissed following the release of the footage.

Tommy Robinson shared a video on Monday of trainee soldiers who chanted and cheered his name.

Robinson said during the recording “it’s the most honourable morning I’ve ever had” the video then pans around to a group of young men who are smiling and wearing camouflage clothing.

The footage was released following a chance meeting at the Watford Gap motorway services, Robinson was proud to have met some real British heroes.

As soon as the footage hit the media the Amry announced it had launched an investigation surrounding the circumstances surrounding the video.

They said that “Anyone who is in breach of the army’s values and standards will face administrative action,” a spokeswoman said.

“Far-right ideology is completely at odds with the values and ethos of the armed forces.

“The armed forces have robust measures in place to ensure those exhibiting extremist views are neither tolerated nor permitted to serve.

“Values and standards within the army play a vital role in training and development, with personnel completing annual mandatory training.”

Causing a huge debate as to whether or not this is right or wrong?

Robinson who recently was misquoted, taken out of content and heavily edited in a Sky News Interview showed his support for our troops while at a service station.

Robinson shared the photo of himself posing with a group of men believed to be members of British Army.

All young lads who looked under the age of 18. Wanting to show his support for the Army he posed for photos and recorded a quick video thanking them.

That photo and video is now under investigation after he bumped into the lad at the Watford Gap Motorway Services on the M1

These young lads were clearly starstruck and not politically motivated, they aren’t old enough for that to even pop into their minds.

Now they could all loose their jobs after Robinson agreed to a photo. whether we choose to admit it or not Tommy Robinson is a celebrity that these young lads bumped into at the services.

Members of the public do not support the Army’s choice to investigate this and believe it shows the state in a bad light.

Robinson wrote on Facebook “A moment like this makes it all worthwhile. Today I met real British heroes”.

The Army has now confirmed they are aware of the photo and footage and have launched an investigation.

A spokeswoman said: ‘Far right ideology is completely at odds with the values and ethos of the Armed Forces.

‘The Armed Forces have robust measures in place to ensure those exhibiting extremist views are neither tolerated nor permitted to serve.’

Imam Asim Hafiz, Islamic religious advisor to the Armed Forces, said that ‘any form of racism, discrimination or extremism is taken extremely seriously and will be dealt with accordingly’.

‘The Armed Forces remain absolutely committed to welcoming individuals from across all faiths and cultures into its ranks,’ he added.

As Police Hour is a balanced non-political news organisation we feel it is fair that Robinson’s side of things is included within this content. Some may disagree but we are a balanced news org.

Tommy Robinson has released a statement to his nearly 1 Million Facebook followers saying “Please show your support for our armed forces who are being investigated & possibly disciplined for having their photo taken with me.

“We as a nation must show general sir nick carter that we the great British public will not tolerate politically motivated persecution of our service men & women who have simply expressed their freedoms.

“The army expect these young men to sacrifice their lives to give freedom to people across the world whilst they wish to take their freedoms off them on the streets of their own country.”

Jobs could be at risk as West Mercia and Warwickshire Police end partnership

A money-saving plan which sparked an alliance between Warwickshire Police and West Merica Police will come to an end.

Police Staff and Police Community Support officers fear their jobs could be cut under plans to end the agreement.

Warkwickshire Police have said they are shocked and disappointed at being handed notice to terminate the agreement by West Mercia Police.

Warkwickshire Police have made it very clear they do not support the termination that will put jobs and budgets at risk,

The two forces both shared services to cut costs in 2012 to enable them to better cope with budgets but now they say the alliance will end.

The two forces now believe withdrawing the alliance would ensure they can work more effectively in the future.

This does run the risk of increased costs for both forces who would usually share services resulting in cuts to roles. This has not been confirmed but it is a real worry for Police Staff within both forces.

The forces say they will share some services, but they are not sure how that will look at the moment.

Frontline policing won’t be impacted by the changes but back office staff and support staff could be impacted, Members of police staff were today briefed before details released to the media.

West Mercia PCC John Campion said “This has been a carefully considered decision with communities in mind, and both the Chief Constable and I, are in agreement that this approach will enhance and improve the service moving forward.

“How exactly this will look will be shaped over the next year, and this will be worked in detail, with our communities and workforce at the forefront of any decisions.”

Chief Constable Anthony Bangham said: “This is a positive start for a new chapter for West Mercia Police, opening up opportunities to deliver more efficient and effective policing services and providing the very best protection to our communities, with a greater focus and clarity at a local level.

“Whilst officers will respond as they always have, local policing will be enhanced, by improved supporting services. Work is underway to shape this, refocusing where collaborative arrangements are currently in place.

“The planning of this will now commence at pace, with immediate effect and we will continue ensure our workforce and key partners remain informed throughout this process.”

Following the announcement Warwickshire Police Chief Constable Martin Jelley, said: “I am surprised and disappointed at having been served notice by the West Mercia PCC and Chief Constable terminating our strategic alliance arrangements.  This is clearly a decision which has been taken solely by West Mercia’s PCC and Chief Constable and one which myself and the Warwickshire PCC do not support.

“Our two forces entered into a strategic alliance in 2012 which has been recognised nationally for the extensive nature of its collaboration and has demonstrated significant benefits from shared working.  In fact, it has allowed both forces to save more than £35m and maximise resources to frontline policing.

“Despite this announcement we are committed to ensuring the day-to-day operational focus of Warwickshire Police continues to be on protecting the public from harm and keeping our communities safe.”

Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Seccombe said: “Since I took office in May 2016, I have been strongly supportive of the alliance between Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police, which has delivered considerable savings and operational benefits for both forces, receiving national acclaim in the process.

“I am very surprised therefore by the decision by the West Mercia PCC and Chief Constable to end the strategic collaboration between the two forces. This is a hugely disappointing development which I do not support.

“The implications of this decision are significant and I will be working with Chief Constable Martin Jelley to minimise any impact on our communities, partners and workforce. I want to assure the public that throughout this period, Martin and I are determined to ensure that Warwickshire Police continues to deliver a high-quality service to our public.”

Man accused of raping two week old baby under 24 hour protection to stop him being attacked

The man who is suspected of raping a two-week-old baby is now 24-hour protection at HMP Maghaberry in Northern Ireland to stop inmates attacking him.

He is being stored in a secure cell, to ensure he comes to no harm despite the baby he is accused of raping aged just 2 weeks continuing to fighting for it’s life.

Feelings surrounding this prisoner are running so high regarding this man that a price has been placed on his head.

Protection orders have been put in place by the legal system banning anyone from naming the suspect to protect the rights of a trial.

We all might feel the need to name him at the moment, but the risk of doing so would result in this man walking free from court without facing a judge and jury. He will be named in due course by the legal system, We’d urge our readers not to name this man as it could be he never faces justice.

A two-week-old baby who has been raped is fighting for its life in Hospital.

The baby was rushed to the paediatric unit at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

It has been confirmed that a man has been charged with rape and causing the grievous bodily harm of a child.

The baby is believed to be from the Annalong area of County Down. The baby cannot be named for legal reasons.

Police said that a 25-year-old man was arrested and charged with rape and GBH with intent.

The Serious Crime Branch are handling the investigation while the offender has been remanded into Maghaberry prison.

A spokeswoman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said: “Detectives from PSNI Serious Crime Branch investigating an incident in which an infant sustained a number of serious injuries, charged a 25-year-old man with rape and grievous bodily harm with intent.”

He made a brief appearance in court on Saturday, September 29 and was remanded in custody at Newry Magistrates’ Court next Wednesday.

It is believed this was a serious and sustained attack on the two-week-old baby, resulting in serious injury. The defendant has not yet been named and shamed and it has not yet been made clear if the man is related to the baby in any way.

This horrific incident has shocked the Northern Ireland Community after the baby was raped and attacked.

There have been no applications made for bail at this time and it is unclear if the defendant has admitted this sickening rape on an innocent two-week-old baby.

We hope and pray that this poor baby makes a full recovery.

If you suspect anyone is involved in child abuse please report it to your local police force by dialling 101 or report it to anonymously Crime Stoppers online or call 0800 555 111.
