Female Robbed in Middlesbrough

33 year old female has Apple IPhone snatched from her

About 5:15pm on Wednesday 16th October a lone female aged 33 years was walking along Abingdon Road, Middlesbrough near to the Gazette offices when she was assaulted and had her apple Iphone stolen. The assailant is described as being a white male wearing a multi coloured hoodie who ran off towards Teak Street. This attack was apparently witnessed by a member of the public who gave chase. Unfortunately the victim did not manage to obtain his details.

Police would like to the male member of the public who came to the victim’s aid or any other witnesses to the attack to contact PC Paul Forbes on the non emergency 101 number.

Convicted Killer escapes!

A police appeal has been issued to trace Lerone Michael Boye, 27, who escaped from the John Howard Centre in Homerton, east London, at 2pm on Wednesday.

He was sentenced in December last year to 28 years for the murder of 17-year-old Kelvin Chibueze in Ilford in August 2011.

Boye is described as approximately 5ft 10ins tall with a slim build and short black hair. He has a horseshoe-shaped scar on his right cheek and a goatee beard.

He was last seen wearing grey jogging bottoms and a grey or blue sweatshirt with a grey vest over the top and is known to have links to the Ilford area.

The public is advised not to approach Boye but call 999 if they see him.

Anyone with any information about Boye's whereabouts can also call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

driver killed in crash on the A19

The family of a lorry driver who was killed in a crash on the A19 was due to be married in August next year.

Andrew Nimmo, 24, died in a collision between two lorries and a car. Another lorry driver, aged 25, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Man dies in #A19RTC horror smash

Cleveland Police have confirmed a man had died in a Horror smash on the A19 at around 5.30am this morning.

Police have not been able to inform the family about the death yet and will be unable to release further details until they've been informed.

The horror smash happened on the A19 this morning, which involved two HGVs and a car.

Police have further confirmed a woman was hit by a lorry following the horror smash.

She is currently in James Cook University Hospital.

Cleveland Police have told Breaking News that both north and southbound of the A19 remain closed.

Two people drown in Scotland

Police have recovered two bodies of a man and boy who drowned in a popular reservoir In Scotland.

The 21-year-old and 17-year-old were pulled from Mill Glen Reservoir near Ardrossan in North Ayrshire shortly before midnight by specialist police divers, Police Scotland said.

Police began searching for the two after reports were received that the pair were spotted getting in to the water but were not scene since.

A19 closed following serious collision

The A19 southbound and Northbound carriageway was this morning closed between the junctions of A1130 and A174 due to a serious accident involving one car and two lorries.

The northbound carriage has now reopened leaving The A19 southbound is closed between the junctions with the A1130 and the A174.

An eyewitness has told breaking news "it was a bad crash and all just hope the driver of the car is ok. State the car was in just looked if it had been taken to the compound yard god bless them please everyone pray that all are ok , one lorry turned on it's side"

It is expected to reopen at 9.45am.

BA Flight with technical problems returns to Heathrow

A British Airways flight has successfully landed at Heathrow airport following technical problems with the landing gear.

The fight began dumping fuel over Essex as a safety measure before attempting to land.

British Airways has said " A British Airways plane BA25 bound for Hong Kong experienced a minor technical fault and returned to Heathrow where it landed perfectly safely.

We will do everything we can to make sure the passengers get to their destination."

Two year old killed in dog attack

A two year old boy has been mauled to death by the family dog in new south wales.

The little boy went in to the kitchen to go to the freezer to get an ice cream.

The family dog then attacked and killed the poor defenseless boy.

The boys mother and grandmother attempted to pull the boy from the dog but could not break him free.

Rolf Harris Arrested for second time


Rolf Harris has been arrested for a second time after fresh allegations of sexual offences.

Harris answered his bail today in which he was informed of fresh allegations.

Harris has been on police bail since March.

Police sorry for Ian Tomlisons death


The Metropolitan Police have said they are sorry over the death of Ian Tomlinson.

Ian Tomlinson died after being pushed to the ground by a police officer in the G20 protests.

The force has sent an apology and settlement.

Ian Tomlinson was hit with a baton and shoved by Police Constable Simon Harwood.

PC Harwood was cleared at a trial at southward crown court last year but still lost his job.
