Four Arrested over cash in transit robbery.

Police have today Arrested four people in relation to an investigation in to a cash in transit robbery.
Police have conducted a series of dawn raid at a number of addresses across Greater Manchester in a joint operation by Lancashire Police and Greater Manchester Police resulting in two arrests.
A further two people were produced from prison and arrested by Police.
Police arrested a 27 year old man and 30 year old man from Salford and further produced a 36 year old man from HMP Kirkham. The fourth man 32 was produced from HMP Preston.
All four men have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.
Police carried out a number of searches at the home addresses of the four men arrested within the Salford and Newton Heath areas.
Police told Breaking News That an investigation had been launched following the cash in transit robbery in St Anne's on September 16th 2013.
Police attended the incident at around 8.30am and attended Sainsbury’s supermarket in the town centre, A group of men approached the security van, threatened the guards with a knife and made off with cash.
Detective Inspector Gareth Willis told Breaking News " Today’s arrests are part of an on-going investigation
into this cash in transit robbery and I would like to thank our colleagues in Greater Manchester
Police for their help and support in planning and executing this morning’s warrants .”
Police confirm that off four men are being held in police custody and will be interviewed throughout today.

83 year old in Violent Burglary £3000 reward offered

Crimestoppers have offered a reward of up to £3,000 for information leading to any arrests in a violent Leyland burglary, Crimestoppers and Police are appealing for information into the incident in which an 83 year old pensioner from the Wellington Avenue area of Layland.

Lancashire Police told Breaking News " The pensioner, aged 83, opened the door to the thief at 8.30pm on Tuesday 1st October. He was then pushed backwards onto the stairs and dragged through to his lounge by the ankles where the thief demanded cash. The pensioner was kicked and elbowed before his hands were slashed with a knife as he tried to defend himself and crawl away."

"This horrific ordeal continued as he was forced up the stairs on his knees with the knife pointed at his neck and watched as the burglar ransacked his possessions. The burglar made away with a wallet and additional cash that had been put aside for food shopping."

Today independent charity crime stoppers are offering a reward for information passed to the charity, that leads to the arrest and conviction of the man responsible in this crime.

Crimestoppers’ North West Regional Manager, Gary Murray, said: “This burglary was a cruel and terrifying attack on an elderly man. The severity of this crime demands that this should not go unpunished. #MillionMaskMarch London 9 Arrested

Metropolitan Police have confirm nine people have been arrested as a small amount if violence broke out in London's #MillionMaskMarch.

Incidents have included protestors being removed from McDonald's, Glass thrown at police officers and fireworks fired at Buckingham Palace.

Tonight Protestors have fired fireworks at Buckingham Palace.

One firework is believed to have hit the palace it is unknown if it has caused damage.

#MillionMaskMarch anti-wave of government cuts

Supporters of Anonymous have mostly conducted peaceful protests in London and across most towns and cities in the United Kingdom. As well as 50 other countries around the world.

Named The Million Mask March's the event saw see millions around the world protesting in white masks.

Their Facebook page said "remember who your enemies are: billionaires who own banks and corporations who corrupt politicians who enslave the people in injustice."

The Million Mask March took place on november 5th and protesters wore Guy Fawkes Masks to mark the day that Guy Fawkes tried to blow up parliament.

Protestors have tonight gathered in Trafalgar Square, Parliament square which was closed by protestors and Buckingham Palace.

Outside the gates of the palace protestors chanted 'wake her up'.

There has been a mass media black out in the coverage of the events.

A Number of Police have been arrested following Glass bottles hurled at police.

A number of protestors had to be cleared from McDonalds in central London were police and protestors clashes.

The protest mostly passed off peacefully and the majority of media outlets fail to report the news.

The protests have been carried out across the world in protest of government cuts.

Two men are being hunted by police in connection with the murder of a man in Shettleston/Glasgow last week.

Police are appealing for anyone who sees 23-year-old Scott Keogh or 26-year-old Steven Ross to contact them immediately. They are warned not to approach either man.
