Police said that the family had only owned the dog for a week before it attacked Bella-Rea.
She was taken to hospital where she died from her injuries she was aged just 17-months-old.
Sadly she died after a dog attacked her at home in St Helens, whereby some of her heroic neighbours attempted to save her life, while frantic calls were made to emergency services.
