Dawn who was aged just 44, was the founder and chief executive of the Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity.

The mum’s charity work was inspired by her young son who touched the hearts of Manchester and the UK policing community.

Her son Joshua known and loved as ‘Super Josh’ was diagnosed with a brain stem tumor aged three sadly passed away on November 14th, 2014.

Sadly Dawn passed away at home following a short illness in the early hours of Sunday morning her family confirmed.

Dawn launched the charity on Joshua’s 13th Birthday in 2013, to which she devoted her life raising awareness and money in the process and helping to save many lives.

The policing community really came together to support Super Josh who was a huge fan of policing within the UK, with officers from all over the UK raising money and funds for Super Josh.

Manchester Police released the Gangnam Style for Joshua to help raise funding for Super Josh.

It’s such a great shame to report the tragic news of her passing and our thoughts are today with Dawn’s family and friends.
