A driver had sadly died after their car burst into flames when it crashed into a ditch, police have said.

The car rolled over on it’s roof in Barford Road, Little Bardford in Bedfordshire on Friday evening at 8pm.

A quick thinking police officer who was off duty was passing and quickly jumped out to free the driver from the burning car.

Sadly the driver died a short time later in hospital.

Our thoughts are with everyone who was involved within this incident, the family & friends.
