E-scooter death: Teen killed after hit and run in Southeast London

A teenager who was riding an e-scooter has been killed after a hit and run which happened in Southeast London.

The teenager aged 16 was riding along Southborough Lane, Bromley, when the collision involving a car happened at approximately 1.20am on Sunday morning.

Police Officers, attending the scene found the teenage boy seriously injured.

“He was taken to a central London hospital where he sadly died,” police said in a statement.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the vehicle, a red Fiat Punto, did not stop at the scene.

The car was found later in Southwood Close, Bromley.
