Dalian Atkinson: Police officer guilty of manslaughter of former professional footballer

A serving police officer has been found guilty of the manslaughter of a former professional footballer Dalian Atkinson,

Police Constable Benjamin Monk had tasered Mr Atkinson for 33 seconds which is more than six times longer than a normal cycle.

PC Monk then kicked him in the head at least twice during the incident which happened in August 2016.

The officer has been convicted of the lesser charge of Manslaughter after being cleared of murder.
