Richard Okorogheye: Police find body in search for missing teen

Police searching for missing student Richard Okorogheye, 19 who went missing after struggling to cope with shielding have found the body of a man in Epping Forest in Essex.

The Met Police confirmed they had been informed by Essex Police that a body was discovered within a pond in a woodland area.

Officers are now carrying out inquiries to identify the body.

The family of Richard have been informed and they are being supported by specially trained officers.

Richard was an Oxford Brookes student and suffered sickle cell disease and was required to shield since last year.

His family had not seen him since 22 March when he left their home in Ladbroke Grove area of West London.

Police believed he took a taxi to a street in Loughton, Essex where he was seen on CCTV in the early hours of the morning heading towards Epping Forest.

Since his disappearance his phone had not been in use, he had no medication with him and left his money at home.
