Hartlepool: Police appeal after attempted robbery with hammer at Jet Garage

Police are releasing a CCTV image of a male they would like to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery at the Jet Garage store on Wynyard Road in Hartlepool.

The incident occurred on Thursday 8th April at around 9pm when a man entered the store with a hammer and threatened the store worker.

He is described as being aged between 15 and 19 years old, of slim build and 5 ft 8” tall. He was wearing a dark puffer Armani jacket with the hood up and a scarf over his face, grey slim fit jogging bottoms, dark gloves with reflectors on the fingers and dark coloured trainers with white soles. 

The male left the store empty handed. 

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with information regarding the male shown in the CCTV image is asked to contact Hartlepool CID on 101 quoting 055282.
