Captain Sir Tom Moore Captured the Hearts of the nation at a time when the UK was placed on Lockdown.

He had raised more than £32 Million for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday.

He inspired a nation during the last year he lived but Captain Sir Tom Moore was a Second World War veteran, It was not the first time he stepped up and support his country.

He is a true inspiration to the nation. A National Clap has now been announced for Captain Sir Tom Moore to honour everything he stood for and achieved within his 100 years.

He became a national treasure and a household name after he did 100 laps of his garden in a Zimmer frame.

In a statement, his daughters Hannah and Lucy said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear father, Captain Sir Tom Moore.

“We are so grateful that we were with him during the last hours of his life; Hannah, Benjie and Georgia by his bedside and Lucy on FaceTime. We spent hours chatting to him, reminiscing about our childhood and our wonderful mother. We shared laughter and tears together.

“The last year of our father’s life was nothing short of remarkable. He was rejuvenated and experienced things he’d only ever dreamed of.”
