Grace Thorpe has died aged two, with injuries so serious that police believe she was murdered.
Cleveland Police have launched a murder investigation after Grace Thorpe aged 2 tragically died.
Emergency services raced to her address in New Marske at 10 am on Tuesday morning. Officers and medical were told grace had suffered a fall.
Her injuries were so serious an Air Ambulance was called and emergency services fought inside the house to stabilise Grace.
Grace was transferred to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for treatment by medical teams were unable to save her and she died as a result of the injuries she suffered.
Grace’s mum had been working at a local B&M Store when the incident happened, she was called and rushed home but was told she had to wait in the street with her partner while emergency crews attempted to save her.
Local police have requested people to be careful about what the write on social media, especially with there being a live ongoing murder investigation.
