A huge thanks to every single Police Hour reader who has supported our fundraising efforts to supported our appeal to help support the Family of Matt.

We’d simply like to say a huge thanks to every single member of the Police Hour community you have made us proud.

Whether you have shared the appeal, liked it or donated it really means a lot and we cannot thank you enough.

We launched the appeal as a way of showing our appreciation and support from Police Hour and our readers.

It truly shows that the public does support the work of our police within the UK.

In the same sense that police officers behind the scenes will donating the proceeds of their CID tuck shops and doing the rounds to collect for Matt and his family.

As a Policing media group we want to be able to do our little bit we wanted to raise £1.5K but together we have raised £60K.

We never expected to raise so much but that is purely down to the thanks of our readers who have really shown how much they support the police.

We do not want to undermine an official fundraising appeal which will be announced in due course by the Met Police.

Once an official appeal is launched we hope it will outshine the one we have created as right now the family of Matt need our support.

The Police Hour readers appeal will kick start this appeal and all proceeds will be passed this way once they have announced and launched the appeal.

The reason we launch our own appeal is that we wanted to do a tiny bit to show our support, as we are more of a public website these days we have a different reach and are able to quickly enable a page to allow our readers to support the appeal with 100% of everything raised being passed to the right place.

There is still time to donate by clicking here.
