Hartlepool detectives started the day with a game of hide and seek when they arrested a man in the town.

In an early morning strike detectives from Hartlepool CID arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of burglary.

Officers gained entry to a property to arrest the man who was attempting to hide beneath a pile of clothes and a suitcase.

DC Steve Ridsdale said: “If the team are looking for you, we will find you.”

The man remains in custody and their investigation continues.
