New Lockdown rules are set to be announced by Boris Johnson which means the entire country will be under new lockdown measures.
The Prime Minister will address the nation at 8pm and announce his new plans to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
New new measures will be announced because COVID-19 cases within England continue to rise.
The latest round of measures will be aimed at the hospitality sector. The rules will come into force from Thursday.
Some of those new rules that will be rolled out across the evening will be restrictions on pubs, bars & restaurants.
Number 10 confirmed that the following restrictions will come into play on Thursday:
- Boris Johnson will confirm all pubs, bars, restaurants and other hospitality in England will be required to close by 10pm from this Thursday
- The Prime Minister will also say the hospitality sector will be restricted by law to table service only
Cabinet will meet on Tuesday morning ahead of the Prime Minister setting out the changes in a statement to Parliament.
The Prime Minister’s address to the nation is expected at 8pm on Tuesday and will be broadcast live.
