North Yorkshire Police is urgently appealing for the public’s help to locate a missing 13-year-old boy from Knaresborough.

Billy Tolhurst, from Chadwick Park, was last seen at 5.45pm today (Monday 27 July 2020) when he left his rear garden and headed in the direction of Forest Moor.

He was in an upset state and the dark and wet conditions have increased the concerns for his safety.

Extensive police searches – supported by Billy’s family and friends – are ongoing in the area, including support from a police helicopter.

Local residents and businesses are urged to report any possible sightings of Billy without delay.

Billy is described as white, 5ft 4in tall, short light-brown hair, he has a chubby round face and he was wearing a black hooded top, green tracksuit bottoms and burgundy-coloured trainers.
