Police have now declared the incident within the Park as a Terror Attack.
The stabbing which left three people dead and three seriously injured is now being lead by the Counter Terror Police.
Members of the public and Police Officers were seen on a video performing CPR at the scene of the incident in attempts to save those who have sadly died.
An eye witness has said the a brave police sergeant ran to the scene saw the attacker and rugby tackled him.
Although this has not been verified we do know if it is true without this bravery more people could have been killed.
A 25-year-old man who lived in Reading was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
The attack happened within Forbury Gardens within the town centre.
At least two of the injured are being treated in the emergency department of the Royal Berkshire Hospital, a spokeswoman said.
Detective Chief Superintendent Ian Hunter said: “We have made one arrest and at this stage we are not looking for any other people in connection with this incident.
“There is no intelligence to suggest that there is any further danger to the public, however we urge people to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious by calling police.”
