The protests come less than 24 hours after violence flared in the capital on Saturday which left 10 police officers injured and 14 members of the public arrested.

Superintendent Jo Edwards From the Met Police said police understood “people’s passion to come and let their voice be heard”, adding that most members of the public protested without incident.

It is hoped that todays Black Lives Matter rally will remain peaceful and pass without incident.
