A criminal hiding from police who attempted to evade police by hiding himself in the bushes.

But he literally blew his his cover with a loud fart.

The man who police have not named had fled into a wooded area near to Hayworth, Nottinghamshire in the early hours of May 7th.

Moments earlier he had been in a high-speed pursuit with officers and fled on foot hoping to hide out until the police left.

His hiding place was quickly given away after letting out a loud fart which alerted officers to his location.

He was quickly arrested after being wanted for two offences and taken into police custody in Mansfield.

Writing on Facebook Police said “Wanted man almost gone with the wind:

“A trump gave away a wanted man’s hiding place after a foot chase through some woods in the early hours of the morning.

“PC Fenton said: ‘I was almost out of wind running but luckily the suspect still had some. I heard him letting rip and followed the noises to a bush’

“The male was wanted for two matters and was taken to Mansfield Custody.”
