Police have found a Handgun and suspected cocaine and cannabis after a vehicle was stopped on Marton road in Middlesbrough.

Police Officers from Cleveland Police stopped the white Volkswagen Gold at 3.20pm on Tuesday 31st March.

Officers searched the vehicle and the men, recovering a handgun and suspected class A and B drugs, believed to be cocaine and cannabis.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm without a certificate.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm without a certificate and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of specified controlled drug above limit, possession of a firearm without a certificate and possession of class B drugs.

All three remain in police custody at Middlesbrough Police Station
