Murder probe after 61-year-old found dead officers have arrested a 64-year-old on suspicion of murder

Officers have launched a murder probe after a 61-year-old was found dead in a home in West Yorkshire.

Officers responded to a house in Batley at around 9.07pm yesterday when the found the body.

A 64-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently being quizzed in custody.

Forensic officers have been on the scene today combing for clues.

Cops are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries remain ongoing into the incident and any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 2208 of Thursday 24 April.”
