Man arrested after firing shots off his balcony in Kent

A man has been arrested after he fired shots off his balcony in Kent.

Armed officers were deployed to an “ongoing disturbance” whereby a man in his 30s was on the balcony of the top floor of a block of flats shouting and firing a gun.

The man known as Flexing Mike shared the incident on his Facebook story.

Armed officers raced to the incident in Chatham closed the roads within the area and urged people to stay away.

In a statement, they said: “Kent Police was called at 8.35am to a disturbance at a flat on Dock Head Road, Chatham.

“Members of the public reported seeing a man on a balcony with weapons and patrols, including armed officers, attended the scene.

“The police helicopter was also deployed and a man in 30s has now been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.

“Patrols remain at the scene where officers have located four suspected imitation firearms as part of their enquiries.”

It comes as footage emerged of a man holding a gun from the balcony of a top floor flat in Chatham’s Dockside.
