Lockdown exercise rules could be banned if coronavirus rebels keep breaking the rules the Health Secretary Matt Hancock has warned.

People will be banned from going out if they sunbath on their walk which has forced councils to close parks after Britons took advantage of the hot weather.

Police will now have to patrol beaches and tourist attractions to ensure the rules are followed.

Mr Hancock told Sky News: “Sunbathing is against the rules that have been set out for important public health reasons.”

He also told BBC News “If you don’t want us to have to take the step to ban exercise of all forms outside your own home then you have to follow the rules. Let’s not have a minority spoiling it for everybody.”
