Police are urgently searching for Denis Beran who is aged seven. He has been missing since he was taken to a shop at 10am this morning.

He was heading to Hagley Road by his dad Rene Klempar but was not returned back to his mother who has full parental responsibility.

A police missing persons alert has now been raised following the disappearance of the boy aged seven.

Police now want to hear from the boy’s father to make sure Denis is ok.

Police have stressed that Rene Klempar is not in any trouble with the police but they need to hear from him.

Birmingham Police tweeted: “We are searching for seven-year-old Denis Beran who disappeared yesterday morning in #Birmingham.

“Denis was taken to a local shop on Hagley Road by his father at around 10am, but he was not returned back to his mother, who has full parental responsibility.

“We are seeking any information on the whereabouts of Denis and asking for anyone who may have seen him with his dad Rene Klempar, to get in touch. Rene is not wanted for any offences, but we need to know the child is safe.

“If you have any info, please call 999 immediately.
