Tributes have been paid a a young boy who has tragically passed away.

Sadly Aaron Higgs aged just 11 lost his life on Saturday.

Aaron was a P7 student at EastLothian Loretto Primary School, It is unclear how he died. 

Grassroots Football Tweeted “We’ve just received the very sad news that Musselburgh Young Stars 08s Aaron Higgs 11 years old sadly passed away yesterday.

“On behalf of the Grassroots community was send our love and our deepest sympathies to Aaron’s family, friends and to his club and teammates”
