At 8pm on Thursday, people are being urged to salute NHS workers on the frontline treating coronavirus patients with a round of applause from their balconies, windows and front gardens. #clapforourcarers
The Police Federation Chair said that it was a bit emotional.

The Clap For Carers campaign, which started online, is being staged because ‘during these unprecedented times they need to know we are grateful’, organisers said.
At 8pm clap for the NHS, the Healthcare staff, the Frontline staff and the Key Workers. Let’s make it loud enough so they can hear. @allontheboard#clapforNHS #clapforourcarers #ClapForCarers #clapforyourcarers #NHSThankYou #NHS #StayHomeSaveLives pic.twitter.com/ycRYAPT4Mh

This is an opportunity for the UK to show some support to those facing a tough time on the front line.
It’s a challenging time for #OurNHSPeople right now – so let’s all give them a round of applause to say thank you and show them how grateful we are for all their hard work. 👏 👏 👏 #ThankYouNHS #ClapForOurCarers pic.twitter.com/Nxz9OvF8Ty
