A six-year-old South Carolina girl has been missing since February 10. Faye Marie Swetlik has been missing from Churchill Heights Neighborhood in Cayce. The Cayce Department of Public Safety is on the lookout for the missing first grader who was last seen at around 3:45 p.m. on Monday. She got off the school bus which dropped her off in her neighborhood and was playing in front of her house on Londonberry Lane before she went missing, reports ABC7. It was only after 5 p.m. that the family notified authorities that the child was missing.

Faye is 3 foot 10 inches, weighs about 65 pounds, has shoulder-length strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing polka dot boots and a black t-shirt with the word “Peace” written on it, stated the Cayce Department of Public Safety on Facebook. In a statement released by the family, they stated, “Faye is a bubbly and happy little girl. She always wants to play and have fun. She’s not the type of kid that will up and walk away.” They even clarified that her mother was very attentive in watching Faye and Faye herself was taught to be aware and pay attention to her surroundings. “Her grandmother is very distraught about what has happened because they are very close. We just want to find Faye and bring her home,” the statement said.

“We’re hoping for the best. We want to get Faye back home. So we’re not leaving any stone unturned,” said Sergent Evan Antley of Cayce Department of Public Safety. “We’re asking everybody questions we’re not leaving anybody out. We are exhausting every resource we have and then some. We are doing everything we can to get this girl home.” Police are asking anybody with information to call the dedicated hotline at 803-205-4444. Police have also asked anyone with security camera footage or any other type of video recording from the evening Faye went missing, to come forward and help with the search with relevant information. An AMBER Alert has not been issued yet.
