It is with great sadness that we report the death of Caroline Flack who has tragically been found dead in her flat after taking her own life.
Sadly a lot of questions have to be asked of the media who have covered Caroline’s arrest over the past number of months.
Sadly the death of Caroline does show how we the media are responsible for our words and the impact they can have on others.
These words can be empowering or dangerous. Our industry needs to change, This is why we are proud to write balanced non-sensationalised news that encourages misinformation not to be shared.
Everyone knows balanced and non-sensationalised news does not sell, but the industry should take note and accept responsibility for today and that makes us ashamed to work within the industry we do.

“We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.”
