Two cops hurt after car they were pursing ran a red light and crashed into six cars

Two police officers have been hurt following a police chase. It’s not yet known if the offender has been arrested or why the car had failed to stop for police.

Police Scotland have said a chief inspector and another police officer suffered injuries following a police chase.

It is believed the car they were chasing ran a red light and proceeded to crash into six cars.

It is not known if anyone else was left hurt in the incident however the two police officers suffered minor injuries.

The incident on Dalmarnock Road caused major congestion as the road was closed for several hours while police dealt with the issue.
