Police were called to reports of a fight in the Marine Parade at early this morning, after three people were mowed down by a car during a brawl on Brighton seafront this morning. A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, he remains in custody.

Two of the victims suffered serious head injuries while the third man was also taken to Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with unknown injuries.
