The body of a man has fallen from a plane into a south London Garden.
The man is believed to be a stowaway fell metres away from the sunbathing tenant.
Police were immediately dispatched to an address in Offerton Road in Clapham at 3.39 on Sunday.
Police believe the body feels from the landing gear of a Kenya Airways flight as it approached and prepared to land at Heathrow Airport.
Once the plane had landed at Heathrow Airport a bag of water and some food was discovered in the landing gear compartment of the plane.
Police have so far been unable to determine the identity or age of the man, however, his death is not being treated as suspicious.
Inquiries are being conducted with the Met’s southern central command unit and its aviation policing command.
The Met Police said it would be liaising with the airline and international authorities.
ITV NEWS reported According to a next-door neighbour, the man fell just a metre from a resident while he was sunbathing in his garden.
He said: “I heard a ‘whomp’ – I went upstairs to look out of a window. At first I thought it was a tramp asleep in the garden.
“He [the body] had all of his clothes on and everything.
“So I went outside and it was just then the neighbour came out and he was very shaken.
“He had been sunbathing and he landed one metre away from him.”
It is also believed a plane spotter who had been following the aircraft from Clapham Common had witnessed the body fall from the plane.
The Plane spotter arrived to the location where the body had landed at the same time of the police and informed officers it had been a Kenyan Airways flight.
