An elderly woman has been found collapsed in the street in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, police said.

She is thought to be in her 70s or 80s and has a head injury, which is now being treated in hospital.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward after she was found on Samuel Brunts Way at 2.40am on April 11.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said: ‘While we appreciate the image may be upsetting we’re urgently trying to identify her and trace any family members.

‘Our enquiries are ongoing as to how she suffered her injuries.

‘Anyone who recognises the woman is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 48 of 11 April 2019.’
