A mum is missing after vanishing from a hen night in an Irish coastal town.
Ruth Maguire, 30, travelled to Carlingford, Co Louth near the border of Northern Ireland and the Republic on Saturday to celebrate a friend’s imminent marriage.
The group have now issued a desperate appeal to find their friend, saying she has not been seen since 11.30pm on Saturday night and they cannot contact her.
Bridesmaid Katrina O’Hare told Belfast Live : “We thought she was going to head home to Newcastle because she had said to a bouncer she was going to get to Newcastle from here but her partner and kids were at her mum’s house in Ligoniel .
He drove down today and she was not there. Her mobile is going straight to voicemail. It was 11.30pm last night she was last seen.
“The police in Carlingford are involved.”
Ruth is originally from Belfast but lives in Newcastle, Co Down with her family and works in a hospital.
Her family and friends are urging anyone with information to get in contact.
Located handily between Dublin and Belfast, coastal town Carlingford is extremely popular with revellers due to its number of bars and pubs as well as its breathtaking scenery.
