Alleged Burglar Arrested after Stealing Christmas Spirits
Yesterday, Monday 17th December, Redcar Neighbourhood Officers received a report of a burglary at the Co Op in Loftus.
It was reported that £300 worth of alcohol was stolen from the shop. Officers attended the scene and whilst investigating, a staff member from Harry Thompson’s Funeral Services approached officers and informed them that a man had stolen a drill from there.
Officers reviewed CCTV footage and quickly identified the man shown in the footage as allegedly responsible for both burglaries.
A 44-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of burglary in connection with the incidents and he currently remains in custody.
