If this officer needs to talk to anyone, we would happily be that stranger.
It’s okay to talk no matter your age, your job we are all human and we all have a breaking point.
Today make sure you say hello to someone a random stranger, a police officer on duty you could have just made their day.
We are very saddened to report that a serving police officer attempted to hang himself from a lamp-post at Cheshire Police HQ.
We are pleased to report other officers quickly rushed to help him and return him to safety.
We truly hope Cheshire Police has the right support in place now to support the officer, after all it is the job that he has done that has caused this result, serving and protecting.
The police officer was hanging for 20 seconds from the entrance of the forces HQ believed to have been in uniform.
The force confirmed the officer was taken to hospital and is now in a stable condition.
The injured officer was described as being “a really nice lad” by a concerned colleague.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 10.30am on Monday, September 10 officers responded to a concern for the welfare of a police officer at the main entrance of Force HQ.
An ambulance was called and the officer was taken to hospital, where his condition is described as stable.”
