Police searching for missing 13 month old in Newcastle City Centre

Eldon Square has released an urgent Child Safety Alert after a 13 month old girl has been reported missing.

All staff have been told they must be alert for the missing girl

Northumbria Police have now confirmed this incident was a hoax and resulted in a large number of officers being deployed to the city centre.

Northumbria Police will now look to trace the person who reported this incident and make arrests in relation to wasting police time.

This is a shameful incident that wastes policing time when genuine emergencies are happening that officers will be delayed from attending at a missing 13 month old takes complete priority.

Northumbria Police have now released a statement confirming the hoax

No photo has been released but The girl is described as.

• Female

• 13-month old

• Black hair

• Wearing a pink top with “Love” on it

• Last seen on Northumberland Street

Several police cars and a riot van are based on Northumberland Street and Northumberland Road.
