A woman aged 37 has appeared in court charger with the murder of a girl aged just four.

Amelia Brooke Harris aged just four was murdered in her own home.

Police have released very little details.

Carly Ann Harris was remanded in custody after the hearing at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court.

She is accused of killing Amelia Brooke Harris, who died at a house in Trealaw in the Rhondda Valley, South Wales, on Friday night.

Harris spoke only to confirm her name and date of birth.

Police have asked the local community not to speculate on the circumstances surrounding her death.
