Armed police deployed to Stockton after shots fired outside postoffice

Armed Officer have been deployed to the streets of Stockton after shots were fired into a car outside of a busy Post Office.

Two people fled the scene after firing shots from a motorbike. No arrests have been made,

It is not yet know if this was a targeted attack, thankfully no one has been seriously hurt.

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident whereby a firearm was discharged into a car on Londonderry Road, Stockton.

The incident happened just after 1pm outside the Post Office as shots were fired at a parked silver Ford Focus.

Detectives believe that the shots were fired by two people on a motorbike, who made off from the scene.

Three people were in the car at the time. Fortunately, no one was harmed.

It is too early at this time to say whether there is any link to any previous incidents.
