Factories across the United Kingdom could be forced to temporarily stop production amid rising fears that there is only enough gas to supply households during the current freezing weather.
The National Grid has today issued an urgent gas deficit warning due to increased demand on Homes and businesses.
The news comes as red weather warning alerts remain in place for Wales and Scotland as strong winds head over from the Siberia bringing with it heavy snow fall.
The lack of gas supplies could mean factories are forced to go into a shut down until the weather passes and there is a new build up of gas within the UK.
