Tommy Robinson who co-founded the English Defence League has been attacked in what is believed to have been a targeted attack.
Tommy Robinson real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon shared footage of him being attacked outside of McDonald’s in London on social media.
Tommy Robinson who is now a political journalist was out and about in London filming and reporting in a left-wing conference being held in the city.
Robinson uploaded footage On his YouTube channel, which showed a number of men covering their faces and wearing balaclavas walk towards him in the McDonald’s car park before him and his camera crew is attacked.
The footage shows six or seven men coming towards Robinson while his camera crew a man and a woman were kicked to the ground and attacked.
During the footage Robinson asked the men if they wanted to go ‘one and one’ before all the men rush towards him and attack him.
A number of punches are traded in broad daylight resulting in Robinson being knocked to the ground while his camerawoman is also attacked.
The men flee the scene before the arrival of police, a number of bystanders who witnessed the incident ask if he is ok.
Towards the end of the video Robinson speaks with a number of police officers who he alleged won’t investigate the incident because they cannot identify the attackers.
