Police have sadly confirmed the death of a girl aged seven who was fatally injured today when a Nissan Car hit a house in Cornwall.
Police believe the crash was weather related. Two Red Weather warnings remain in place across the UK.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the girl – believed to be a pedestrian – suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene in Bodrigan Road in Looe this afternoon.
“One person has been fatally injured following a collision in Looe.
“Police were called at around 2.30pm today [Thursday 1 March] to reports of a a Nissan car colliding with a house on Bodrigan Road.
“A 7-year-old girl, believed to be a pedestrian, suffered life-threatening injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
“Her next of kin has been informed.”
Localised closures area in place as emergency services attend this incident.
