Father and two children found at bottom of cliff after mother found stabbed to death.

The tragic news came less than an hour after police in London launched an urgent appeal to trace the father and two children after their mum was found stabbed to death.

Police have found a woman stabbed to death in London and have found her husband and sons aged seven and ten dead in Sussex.

Police found a woman believed to be in her 40s with multiple stab injuries at her home in South Road, Twickenham Southwest London.

Very quickly after her body was found police had serious concerns for the welfare of her two boys and her husband aged 57 having been located a the bottom of a cliff.

Less than an hour later Sussex Police made the tragic discovery finding the bodies of two young boys and a man at Birling Gap seafront in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

They then contacted Scotland Yard after learning officers were looking for a man and his two sons.

A vehicle which was nearby the trio was then recovered by Sussex Police.

Their Twickenham home remains a crime scene.

Formal identification awaits but police believe the man and two children are the woman’s immediate family, Scotland Yard said.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Post-mortem examinations for all four individuals will take place in due course. Formal identification awaits.

“Next of kin have been informed. No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.

“At this early stage, police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.”
