Police have put a crime scene in place following the discovery of two human bodies this morning.

Shortly before lunchtime a member of public made the grim discovered.

Although it is the early stages of the investigation police believe it could be linked to the discovery of a human foot earlier this week.

Police were called at 11.43am today, Friday 9th February, to a report that the bodies of two men had been found on the beach at Malltraeth on Anglesey.

Detective Inspector Gerwyn Thomas at Caernarfon CID said: “Police are working with the Coastguards to recover the bodies of two men.

“Their deaths are currently being treated as unexplained as we try to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Formal identification is yet to take place and HM Coroner for North West Wales has been informed.”

He added: “Sadly we believe this incident may be linked to the discovery of the human foot on Felinheli beach near Bangor earlier this week.”
