Police said they are dealing with an ongoing ‘major incident’ after an explosion has ripped through a shop and flat in Leicester.
Members of the public reported hearing a massive explosion.
Leicestershire Fire Service have conformed they were called to a reported explosion and a building collapse.

Leicestershire Police has declared a major incident and have asked people to stay away from the area.
The shop was located behind a busy bus stop and had a flat above it.
It is believed the stop was a Londis store which recently changed it’s name to Western Park Store.
It is not known if anyone was inside the store, flat above or the bus stop outside the shop at the time of the incident.
