An emotional story about a police dog who nearly died after being stabbed by protecting his police handle has been newly-released .
Fabulous Finn co-written by Police Constable Dave Waddell tells the story about how the hero police dog almost lost his life after being stabbed in the chest and head.
Fabulous Finn was apprehending a suspected armed robber in Stevenage in October 2016.
PC Wardell spent weeks nursing Finn back to life and after the dog saved his own life, both Finn and Dave returned back to work.
A blog detailing Finn’s recovery, written by PC Wardell as a way of coping with his own emotional issues following the attack, has now been turned into a book.
