Six Week Old Baby Charlie in Urgent Europe-wide appeal to save his life

Published

A Mum has issued an urgent Europe-wide appeal to find a heart transplant for her six-week-old baby. Please help by sharing this article in hope the right person spots it and is able to help save the life of baby Charlie

Charlie Douthwaite is believed to be the youngest person in the UK waiting for a transplant.

Charlie was born with half a heart because he was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, meaning the left side of his heart is underdeveloped.

His mum Tracie Wright has issued an urgent appeal to help find it “such an amazing gift to be able to offer someone”.

“It’s a priceless gift that can never, ever be repaid. It would just mean the world to me to receive that for Charlie,” she said.

“I’m in total desperation and it’s probably a long shot but I’ll try anything to try and help my baby. My baby boy needs a heart. being on the transplant list is an awful place to be in knowing another child loses their life!

“someone loses their pride and joy in order for you to receive a heart or organ it’s truly heartbreaking. It’s such an amazing gift to be able to offer someone.

“And I’d like to think it would offer someone great comfort knowing their beautiful baby never dies and lives on and helped in a way that can’t ever be described.

“I want to try and get this message as far and wide as I possibly can (especially the eu) in order to try and help my baby. I can’t describe what Charlie means to us all he’s so precious so beautiful and so brave and deserves a chance at life”

The appeal has been made in the hope that a family who are grieving the loss of their child may be in a position to help.

A shameless thief who brazenly stole charity money by putting a Poppy Appeal tin down his trousers has been jailed.

Hartlepool man Nathan Beddow walked into a quiet pub bar and spotted the charity collection tin and tray of poppies.

Nathan Beddow stole the Poppy Appeal money on November 3rd he walked into a pub at 1pm after he was seen loitering around the bar before he stuffs the tin down the form of his pants

A member of the Royal British Legion then found the empty tun down a nearby alleyway and informed the landlord Mr Jenkinson who believes £70 was stolen having donated £40 himself.

The pubs CCTV captured the moment Beddow then came back into the bar with a friend later to buy a drink.

Nathan Beddow was then identified by thousands of Facebook users after the CCTV image was released online.

Police quickly acted and arrested Beddow who told an officer during his arrest”All this for some poppy money, all you have got is some CCTV.”

When he was arrested he was trying to goad police officers he was put into a police van and on the way to the station tried to put a cord around his neck after slipping his handcuffs.

In an attempt to say sorry and get out of going back to jail Beddow wrote a letter of apology and addressed it to the British Red Cross and not the Royal British Legion, He attempted to go back to the pub and repay the money but was kicked out.

Beddow in his defence claimed that he stole the charity tin because he had been subjected to threats from the English Defence League following his previous offence and was scared “The threats of violence by the EDL may well come back to haunt him. He is not normally someone who targets charity boxes.”
