A girl aged seven has sadly died after suffering “critical injuries” inside of a house in south-west London.
Robert Peters aged 55 appeared at Wimbledon magistrates court on Saturday charged with attempted murder but it was made clear that this charge could change if the girl died as she was not expected to survive her injuries.
The charge is expected to be updated to murder now the girl has sadly died.
Police and Paramedics were alerted to an incident within a property on Blenheim Road in Wimbledon on Friday morning, They quickly rushed the girl to the hospital after receiving urgent treatment within the house.
Officers quickly arrested Mr Peters who is known to the child and he has been remanded in custody over her death until December 1st.
No further details regarding Mr Peters relationship or the circumstances in which lead to the girl’s death have been released.
