Stratford Acid Attack six people rushed to hospital following horrific attack

Officers responded to reports of an acid attack at 8pm on Saturday 23rd September after a group of males were spraying what is believed to be a noxious substance.

The incident happened at the Stratford station, Bus Station & Westfield shopping centre.

A gang of thugs began spraying members of the public in the horrific attack.

Six people have been rushed to hospital after being randomly targeted and sprayed with the substance.

Police, Paramedics & Firefighters were seen treating the injured at the shopping centre, tube station and bus station.

London Ambulance Service, British Transport Police and London Fire Brigade are in attendance.

A number of people have been reported injured at different locations. At the moment this is believed to be six people.

Officers quickly arrested one male on suspicion of GBH. No other arrests have been made.

A crime scene is currently in place and forensic officers will soon attend the scene.

Met Police quickly confirmed the incident is not being treated as terror-related.
