A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape following an incident in Cromer on Friday night (18 August).

Norfolk police have confirmed they are looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident which may be linked to the weekend of disorder in Cormer which forced many shops, pubs and hotels to close.

A man in his 30s was arrested by colleagues in Essex this morning (21 August) and will be questioned in due course.

It follows an incident on Friday night at about 11.30pm after a woman in her late teens reported being raped at a bus stop on Cadogan Road by two men.
